P2GreenEST consortium organizes a conference about the ”Internationalisation and circular public procurement opportunities for SMEs” on the 23rd of May 2024 in Brasov (Romania).
This event will be organised in Qosmo hotel in Brasov and is open to EU SMEs – working in the water, energy or waste sectors and willing to bid for public procurement in Moldova, Serbia or Ukraine – as well as to business support organizations and innovation intermediaries.
Furthermore, the event aims to present GREET-CE project – Green transition in Central Europe and the opportunities to connect and interoperate in EU value chains.

The Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) has opened its 2024 call for project proposals, dedicating a total of €213 million to drive competitive circular bio-based industries across Europe. [Link to Call]

This call encompasses 18 funding topics aligned with the objectives of CBE JU, including accelerating innovation, market deployment of bio-based solutions, and ensuring environmental performance. [Link to Call]
Three types of projects will be funded:
- Innovation Actions (IAs) to scale up activities from prototype to product validation and market replication.
- Research and Innovation Actions (RIAs) to establish new knowledge or explore the feasibility of new or improved technology.
- Coordination and Support Actions (CSAs) to structure stakeholder communities and support technological visions.
Various stakeholders, including farmers, brand owners, companies, research organizations, and local authorities, are encouraged to participate in deploying bio-based solutions.
The proposal submission requirements are detailed in the call documents published on each topic page.
Funding for this call comes from Horizon Europe, the EU’s research and innovation funding program, and proposals can be submitted electronically through the respective topic page.
After the call closure, proposals will undergo evaluation, and successful projects will be known by early February 2025 at the latest.

Responses submitted through the survey will contribute to the co-design of the ‘main’ 2025 Work Programme. The feedback opportunity is open for 3 weeks and will close on 6 May 2024 (midday, CET). The 2025 Work Programme will implement the key strategic orientations set out in the Horizon Europe strategic plan 2025-2027.

LIFE 2024 makes €571 million available for projects in the field of nature, environment and climate change.
The calls for LIFE 2024 project proposals are now open, with €571 million available. It is the largest European financial mechanism dedicated exclusively to action in the fields of environment protection, nature conservation and climate change mitigation and adaptation. LIFE supports innovative and effective projects with demonstrable impacts and best practices that can be replicated and scaled up elsewhere in Europe.
Potential applicants can apply for standard Action Projects (Nature and Biodiversity, Circular Economy and Quality of Life, Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, Clean Energy Transition, New European Bauhaus and Environmental Governance), Coordination and Support Grants in the field of Clean Energy Transition and Strategic Integrated Projects. The first submission deadlines are in September 2024, with a Slovenian LIFE Info Day planned for June.
Potential applicants can apply for the following projects:
Standard Action Projects:
- Nature and Biodiversity (€155 million),
- Circular Economy and Quality of Life (€65 million),
- Climate change mitigation and adaptation (€61.98 million),
- Clean Energy Transition (€4 million),
- the new European Bauhaus (€8 million),
- Environmental governance (€10 million).
Coordination and support grants:
- Clean Energy Transition (€77 million).
- Strategic Integrated Projects (€150 million).
Eligible applicants: companies, academic institutions, national, regional and local governments and NGOs working in the EU in the field of nature conservation, environmental protection, climate change or clean energy transition. LIFE supports innovative and effective projects with demonstrable impacts and best practices that can be replicated and scaled up elsewhere in Europe. LIFE project applications can be submitted by one or several organisations working with other European partners – please check carefully the description of the funding theme you wish to apply for.
