Join Our Pilot on Digital Energy Pilot – Powering the Transition to a Circular Energy Future

What is the pilot about?

The Digital (sustainable) energy pilot is one of four GREET CE demonstration actions designed to strengthen regional innovation capacity throughout Central Europe. This initiative addresses the convergence of environmental sustainability and digital transformation, aligning with the EU Green Deal and digitalization targets.

Through comprehensive company mapping and stakeholder engagement, the digital energy pilot designs innovative value chains and concrete business cases that leverage IoT, blockchain, and AI-driven analytics to reduce energy consumption, enhance grid flexibility, and support energy communities. Given recent developments highlighting cybersecurity and data protection as critical concerns, these challenges are systematically integrated into the pilot framework. By connecting innovative SMEs offering complementary solutions, the initiative creates synergies that drive meaningful progress in sustainable energy systems.

Within the pilot, we address

Manufacturing Efficiency
Deploying intelligent monitoring systems and data analytics to minimize energy waste in manufacturing processes and boost operational efficiency.

Urban Infrastructure Resilience
Integrating advanced digital platforms for city-wide energy coordination, emphasizing secure infrastructure and cyber-resilient operations.

3.

Decentralized Energy Ecosystems
Supporting local energy initiatives with technology-enabled peer-to-peer energy exchange, predictive demand management, and adaptive grid solutions.

4.

Smart Building Technologies
Implementing automated energy systems and intelligent controls that optimize consumption patterns and enhance building performance.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking innovative SMEs, research institutions, and energy pioneers working on digital energy solutions and related technologies to join this pilot initiative. Our goal is to build a dynamic network of partners committed to advancing sustainable energy solutions and exploring new business opportunities in the digital energy sector.

We are particularly interested in collaborating with:

  • Research institutions and consultancies with expertise in smart grids, IoT, blockchain, and AI-driven energy analytics.
  • SME’s developing innovative technologies or services in the digital energy value chains.
  • Energy communities, municipalities, and utilities willing to test and implement pilot solutions.
