Call for Collaboration
Join Our Pilot on Regenerative Farming Pilot – Fostering Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture

What is the pilot about?

The Regenerative Farming Pilot focuses on developing new bio-based value chains and business cases supporting the transition to sustainable and resource-efficient agriculture in Central Europe. It demonstrates how innovation and interregional cooperation can strengthen regenerative practices, promote circular use of resources, and improve the competitiveness of SMEs.

Within GREET CE, the pilot connects enterprises, clusters, and research actors working on soil health, digitalisation, and controlled environment farming — key areas driving the green transformation of the agri-food sector.

Within the pilot we address

1.

Sustainable solutions for regenerative agriculture
Exploring bio-based inputs and low-impact technologies such as biofertilizers, organic soil enhancers, and microbial preparations that improve soil fertility while reducing synthetic inputs.

2.

Precision farming
Supporting data-driven approaches and smart technologies that optimise yields, resource use, and environmental performance on farms.

3.

Controlled environment agriculture
Investigating advanced greenhouse and indoor production systems that integrate renewable energy, water recirculation, and circular nutrient management.

4.

Business innovation and market uptake
Translating innovative ideas into market-ready business cases and investment opportunities, linking SMEs with partners, investors, and regional innovation networks.

Project Overview

Interregional
Cooperation:

Connecting clusters, SMEs, and innovation actors across Central Europe to foster collaboration on regenerative farming and bio-based technologies.

Innovation Ecosystem
Development:

Supporting SMEs through webinars, matchmaking events, and pitching sessions that promote cooperation, visibility, and access to new markets.

Value Chain and
Business Case Creation:

Identifying scalable solutions and preparing business cases that demonstrate the economic and environmental benefits of regenerative practices.

Policy
Integration:

Transforming pilot results into recommendations for regional innovation strategies and S3 roadmaps to ensure long-term policy impact.

Together, these activities enhance the innovation capacity of SMEs, accelerate bio-based market adoption, and contribute to the green transition of agriculture in Central Europe.

Who are we looking for?

We are inviting innovative SMEs, clusters, and research organisations active in sustainable agriculture and bio-based technologies to join this pilot initiative.
We aim to connect actors developing practical solutions for regenerative and circular farming and to accelerate their access to markets and partnerships.

We are particularly interested in collaborating with:

  • Companies offering technologies for soil improvement, precision farming, or controlled environment systems.
  • Clusters and innovation networks promoting bioeconomy-oriented collaboration.
  • Research and advisory organisations supporting digital and regenerative transitions in agriculture.
  • Policymakers and regional authorities enhancing innovation policies in the bioeconomy domain.
